About Me
I have loved Fashion, Art and Design since an early age. Being brought up by a glamorous Mother showed me what luxury on a shoestring can really look like, and do, for a Woman's confidence.
I gained my BA(Hons) in Fashion Design from the University of Central Lancashire in 2016, leading into my SS17 collection 'Transgression'. I returned to education in 2019 to complete my MA at the University of Chester, with a focus on Feminism within Fashion.
My career has been incredibly colourful, exciting and varied. I feel grateful to have experienced all I have in such a short space of time. I began in commercial retail ladieswear design, moving into costume millinery for stage and screen, occasionwear, manufacture and eventually into opening my first bespoke millinery brand in 2018. My specialities lie in conceptual design and manufacture, often expressing my inner self through my work.
Through creating through 'Rose and Plume' brand, I expanded into appearing at talks and guest lecturing with charities and events across the North West. Communication and working with adults is one of my favourite parts of the job. Bringing Fashion in all forms to others and sharing ideas with fellow creatives inspires so much of what I do.
